When medical journalist Theo Croft arrives in Scotland to film a documentary on the tuberculosis pandemic, he soon finds himself in the sleepy village of Salen, where nineteenth century inhabitants mistook the disease for vampirism.

As Theo and his film crew slowly unravel the truth behind the vampire panic, a series of unsettling events lead to a horrific discovery.

Theo returns home to find that something has followed him back. Something monstrous that has left its mark on him. To protect everything and everyone he holds dear, Theo must face the darkness within.
